Pre-Season Friendly
BRENTWOOD TOWN U18S 1 EASTSIDE 0
The 18s played Eastside, a men’s team from the Brentwood Sunday League. With many of the squad away this weekend the remaining boys put in an adequate display against very combative opponents. The margin of victory could have been greater had the lads taken some of the many other opportunities they created, including a missed penalty.
The winning goal came from man of the match 15-year-old Jacob Dingli, who coolly rounded opposition keeper Greg Bowen after being put through by one of his team mates.
Next opponents for the lads are Billericay Town next Sunday at The Arena KO 11.00.

Last kick defeat but U18s impress again

PRE-SEASON FRIENDLY (Under 18s)
BRENTWOOD TOWN 1 SOUTHEND UNITED 2

Brentwood gave as good as they got in a very entertaining end-to-end encounter, but they were beaten with the last kick of the game.
After going a goal down early in the first half, Town equalised through Jack Gardner with yet another quality effort from outside the box, finding the top corner of the Southend net.
Special mention for Jamie Bush who had an outstanding game and if it was not for a brilliant save from Southend Keeper James Langham, he would have capped his display with a fine goal
Thanks also to Southend United for agreeing to send a team to play us.
