Two first half goals proved decisive for Marlow and they withstood a strong second half comeback from Brentwood to book their place in the next round.
Marcus Mealing put the visitors ahead in the 26th minute with a clinical finish into the corner from fifteen yards out. The crucial second goal came in first half stoppage time after Shad Ngandu fouled Josh Francis in the area and Chris Ovenden converted from the penalty spot.
The Blues had much the better of the second half with some of their best chances falling to top scorer Lamar Reynolds.
Andy Greenslade (pictured) fired Brentwood back into the game with a goal following a free kick in the 74th minute.
Calam Gallimore could have restored the two-goal advantage for Marlow when his header hit the crossbar in the 81st minute.
Marlow keeper Simon Grant saved a long-range shot from Arthur Goncalves but Blues could not find an equaliser.
