Overview
Brentwood’s ten-day break seemed to do them good as they returned to winning ways with a convincing performance in Norfolk.
Two first half goals by Andy Freeman (pictured) put Town in control and top scorer Lamar Reynolds added a third early in the second period.
Brentwood welcomed back Matt Hall from injury and he had a considerable influence alongside Sam Owusu and Shad Ngandu as these three dominated in midfield for much of the game.
The visitors took a sixth minute lead, Freeman netting after Wroxham goalkeeper Elliott Pride had saved, but not held, a low drive from Reynolds.
It was 2-0 in the 26th minute. Marcus Milner surged down the right wing before picking out Freeman who slotted into the corner of the goal from just inside the penalty area.
Brentwood survived a couple of scares either side of half time. Ross Gilfedder had a chance for the Yachtsmen at the end of the first half and the ball hit the Brentwood crossbar following a corner shortly after the restart. But there were no other serious alarms as the visitors controlled the game for long periods and they completed the scoring in the 59th minute when Ngandu’s pass split the Wroxham defence and Reynolds slipped the ball past Pride.
