Overview
Brentwood staged a remarkable comeback after trailing 3-0 early in the second half at Felixstowe on Saturday. The match was marred by some late red cards with some bad incidents after the end of the game resulting in further red cards for both teams.
The home side took a 3rd minute lead when Josh Kerridge hit a powerful shot from outside the penalty area that took a deflection past Tim Brown and went in off the underside of the crossbar. It was 2-0 in the sixteenth minute when Callum Bennett scored from a free kick which he bent round the wall into the bottom corner.
Brentwood looked completely out of the game when Armani Schaar fired home Felixstowe’s third goal in the first minute of the second half. But Brentwood upped their game and scored twice in the 62nd and 68th minutes through Abdus Salami and Zak Pianim. Then Andy Freeman got behind the home defence and slipped the ball past Danny Crump in the Felixstowe goal in the 75th minute.
