Centre midfielder Charlie Edwards joined Brentwood Town ahead of the 2025/26 season, signing from Cray Wanderers where he was a regular in their side last year. During the 2024/25 campaign, he made 31 appearances for the Wands and chipped in with three goals, showing his consistency and ability to contribute in both directions.
Before his time at Cray, Charlie spent two seasons at Canvey Island, where he featured heavily and became a reliable figure in midfield. Across 64 appearances for the Gulls, he found the net eight times and impressed with his work rate and technical ability. His earlier career also included spells at Hertford Town and Waltham Abbey, along with experience at fellow Isthmian Premier clubs Wingate & Finchley and Potters Bar Town, which has given him a strong understanding of the division.
With his mix of energy, vision, and experience, Charlie brings added depth and quality to Brentwood’s midfield, and he will be looking to play a key role in the club’s first season back in the Premier Division.
