Club Statement: Melvin Minter

Brentwood Town FC can confirm the departure of goalkeeper Melvin Minter, who brings an end to a remarkable three-year spell with the club.

After picking up an injury earlier this month, Melvin has made the difficult decision to step away from non-league football. A decision we fully respect and completely understand.

Melv joined the Blues in January 2023 and went on to make an outstanding 146 appearances, recording 46 clean sheets along the way. His consistency, professionalism and commitment quickly made him a cornerstone of the side.

Last season saw Melvin feature in every single game, playing a pivotal role as we lifted the Isthmian League North title. He was also ever-present during our historic FA Trophy run, helping the club reach the Third Round for the first time in our history, moments that will live long in the memory of everyone connected with Brentwood Town FC.

More than just a goalkeeper, Melvin has been a leader, a role model and a true servant to this football club. His loyalty and dedication over the past three years will never be forgotten.

We wish Melvin nothing but the very best in his future endeavours. He will always be a champion with us, his name etched into the history of this football club forever, and he will always be welcome back at The Arena.

Thank you, Melv.
