Two wins for Blues on the road

Two wins for Blues on the road

Saturday 4th February
ISTHMIAN NORTH
GORLESTON 0 – 1 BRENTWOOD TOWN

Brentwood made the long trip to Lowestoft on the north-east coast of Suffolk and earned their second away win in the space of five days thanks to a first half goal by Jack Adlington.

Adlington scored for the second consecutive match, finishing off a good move by clipping the ball over the head of home keeper Jake Jessup in the 25th minute.

It was match where Blues often seemed to have a slight edge over their opponents but with only that single goal it meant the result was in doubt until the final whistle. Bryan Ifeanyi forced a good save from Jessup at the start of the second half while Brentwood goalkeeper Melvin Minter kept out a good effort from Jamie North.

Brentwood Town: 1 Melvin Minter, 2 James Folkes, 3 Andrew Freeman, 4 Connor Hogan, 5 Matt Cripps, 6 Jack Humphrey, 7 Bryan Ifeanyi (Daniel Ogunleye 76′), 8 George Craddock (Jack Dickinson 83′), 9 Ross Wall, 10 Sam Park (Flavio Jumo 86′), 11 Jack Adlington.
