It’s a third consecutive home game for Brentwood Town on Saturday. The visitors this time are Potters Bar Town, in what is the Blues’ final home game of 2025.
Brentwood will want to build on their win last time out, and try to close the gap to Folkestone Invicta at the top of the table.
The Blues
Brentwood won their last match 2-0 facing Hashtag United at home. Kymani Thomas put the Blues in front early on in the 14th minute, however despite being dominant for most of the match, the second goal did not come until second-half stoppage time when Danny Ogunleye made the result certain.
His last minute goal sees Ogunleye stay top scorer in the league, with 14 already. He’s started where he left off last season, and will look to add to his tally in this game.
The Blues sit 5th in the form table, having won 3 of their last 6 matches, and are starting to discover their early season form again, their only recent loss coming against the league leaders, so playoffs still remain the aim.
The Scholars
It’s been a very difficult season for Potters Bar Town, who only have one win in their last six games, and 11 points overall. They sit bottom of the Isthmian Premier and 13 points from safety after a recent 3-0 defeat to Chatham Town in their previous match.
The goals came from Adam Leathers in the 30th minute and Matt Macarthur who scored twice, once in the 40th and the other in the 58th.
Despite the poor start to the season, Brandon Adams is one to watch in this game, accumulating six goals this season. He’s been the standout player in the side, and has helped them to move slightly closer to the teams above them.
Final Word
Keith Rowland’s side will be full of confidence heading into this match, and will be looking to pick-up all three points. The Scholars need a turning point, and they will look to make this match a tough battle for the Blues.
