Match preview
The Blues are on the road for the first time this season, travelling to Princes Park to face a Dartford side that, like Brentwood, won their opening fixture of the 2026/27 campaign.
When the teams met in Dartford last season, it was a closely fought encounter that saw the hosts snatch all three points in the dying minutes, so the Blues will be looking for revenge on Tuesday evening.
The Blues
It was a positive opening day for Keith Rowland’s side, who welcomed Burgess Hill Town to The Arena and came away with all three points.
The first half was a tight affair with little to separate the two sides until just before the referee’s whistle. New signing Charlee Adams whipped in a dangerous free-kick towards the back post, where Bradley Sach was on hand to fire the Blues ahead before the break.
Brentwood carried that lead into the second half and kept the pressure on throughout the opening stages. Their persistence paid off after some excellent work from Jesse Olukolu, who beat his man and delivered a dangerous cross into substitute Nat Mardell, who made no mistake in smashing home the Blues’ second goal of the afternoon.
The Hillians finished seventh last season and provided a tough opening day test, but it does not get any easier from here. Dartford finished one place above Burgess Hill in sixth, so Brentwood will need another strong performance if they are to make it two wins from two.
The Darts
Dartford finished sixth last season, six points behind the Blues and just outside the play-off places. It was a strong campaign and gave them plenty to build on heading into 2026/27.
They have been busy during the summer, appointing a new manager and adding further quality to the squad, with Gianluca Botti, Jordan Higgs, Lorenzo Duncan, Ryan Sandford, Max Fiddes, Ben Swift, Brandon Davey and Scott Wagstaff among those to arrive at Princes Park.
Their opening fixture saw them travel to Jubilee Field to face newly promoted Three Bridges, and despite falling 2-0 behind in the first half, the Darts fought back to claim all three points.
Dartford are in a unique position this season, with player-manager Ben Greenhalgh also featuring on the pitch, and he scored the first goal of their league campaign on the stroke of half-time to spark the comeback.
Three Bridges kept them at bay for the opening 15 minutes of the second half, but Joe Tennent found the equaliser in the 62nd minute before new signing Max Fiddes completed the turnaround just two minutes later. The Darts held firm for the remainder of the match to secure an opening day victory.
One of the questions heading into the season was how they would replace the goals of Olly Box, who scored 16 league goals last season. However, on the opening day they showed no signs of struggling in front of goal and will be hoping to build on that result as they target a play-off push.
Final word
This should be a fantastic clash early in the season between two sides with similar ambitions — promotion to the National League South.
The teams played out two highly competitive matches last campaign, and there is every reason to expect another entertaining contest under the lights at Princes Park on Tuesday night.

There are several food outlets in and around the ground offering a range of options, including burgers, hot dogs, sausage rolls, chips and chilli.
Bars are open throughout the stadium, and supporters are permitted to drink on the terraces and in the Fan Zone.
Catering pods are located behind each goal and are fully wheelchair accessible.

Princes Park was designed with accessibility in mind, and Dartford FC has a range of facilities to ensure the stadium is as accessible as possible.

Getting there
By car
Supporters travelling by car are advised to arrive at least 45 minutes before kick-off to allow plenty of time for parking and entry into the ground.
Once inside, supporters will find a club shop, food outlets and several bar areas behind the dugouts, with access to outside balconies. Bars are open both before and after the match.

By rail
Dartford Station is the nearest railway station.
Exit the station towards the Orchard Theatre and Shopping Centre, do not cross the bridge, and use the steps or ramp down to the bus stops.
Take the Fastrack B service towards Bluewater or Gravesend and alight at Princes Park.
Buses run approximately every 10 minutes during the day, with slightly longer intervals in the evening.
By bus
The Fastrack B route provides a direct service to the ground. Ask for the Princes Park stop.
On foot
Princes Park is approximately a 10–15 minute walk from Dartford town centre, with most of the route running alongside the Fastrack busway.
