Len Cordell Memorial Trophy Quarter-Final
For the 2026/27 season, Brentwood Town U23s will continue to compete in the Essex Senior League Reserve Division.
The U23s were reformed ahead of the 2025/26 campaign, creating an important pathway between the club’s youth setup and first-team football.
The side is managed by Tony Watkins, who has extensive experience coaching across various Eastern Junior Alliance age groups within the club, and is assisted by Darren Goodey.
In their first season together as a newly formed squad, the U23s enjoyed an encouraging campaign, finishing 4th in the league table while also reaching the Quarter-Finals of both the Reserve Shield and the Len Cordell Memorial Trophy.
The season also demonstrated the importance of the U23s pathway, with six players going on to make their first-team debuts during the 2025/26 campaign, featuring in the Essex Senior Cup tie at home to Brightlingsea Regent.
