Brentwood Town FC are delighted to announce the loan signing of highly-rated goalkeeper Tommy Goodger from EFL Championship side West Ham United.
The 17-year-old joins the Blues on a short-term loan deal and is available for selection ahead of Saturday afternoon’s Emirates FA Cup Second Qualifying Round tie away at Aveley.
Goodger joined West Ham from Exeter City in 2025 and has quickly established himself within the Hammers’ highly-regarded Academy setup.
Last season, Tommy was the regular No.2 goalkeeper for West Ham’s U18s, providing competition and cover for England age-group internationals Finley Hooper and Lanre Awesu.
The youngster has already featured prominently this season, starting four of West Ham U18s’ opening five fixtures in the U18 Premier League South.
West Ham currently boast a particularly strong group of young goalkeepers, with Goodger, Hooper and Awesu joined within the Academy setup by Fin Herrick and Mason Terry. They’re currently coached by David Martin, former West Ham, MK Dons and Millwall goalkeeper and son of Alvin Martin.
Tommy will now link up with the Blues following the injury sustained by first-choice goalkeeper Aiden Prall.
With Prall currently sidelined, Brentwood Town have acted swiftly to strengthen the goalkeeping department, with Goodger joining the squad in time for Saturday’s FA Cup clash at Aveley.
