Brentwood Town are delighted to announce the signings of George Saunders and Jayden Robinson, with both players joining the club from Aveley and linking up once again with Blues boss Brett Munyard.
George Saunders
The 28-year-old winger brings a wealth of experience across the non-league game, as well as National League experience.
George began his career with Kelvedon Hatch in the Essex Olympian League, impressing as he found the net 16 times in 28 appearances and picked up a number of personal accolades.
His performances earned him a move to Hornchurch, where he featured 43 times in all competitions during the 2018/19 season as the Urchins finished 15th in the Isthmian Premier Division.
Saunders made a further 38 appearances during the following campaign, with his performances earning him trials with Crystal Palace and Reading before he secured a full-time contract with Dagenham & Redbridge in July 2020.
George made 26 appearances in his first season with the Daggers, featuring against the likes of Wrexham, Sutton United and Yeovil Town. He added a further 15 appearances during the 2021/22 campaign, scoring twice before his season was cut short through injury.
He returned to Hornchurch at the beginning of the 2023/24 season and played a key role in their Isthmian Premier Division title-winning campaign, as the Urchins amassed 100 points. George then made a further 34 appearances in the National League South, helping Hornchurch to a top-ten finish.
Last season, Saunders joined Aveley, where he worked with Munyard and helped the Millers reach the play-offs.
He now makes the move to The Arena and will reunite with Munyard and a number of familiar faces in Brentwood colours.

Jayden Robinson
The Blues have also secured the signing of highly rated 20-year-old midfielder Jayden Robinson from Aveley.
Jayden came through the Billericay Town academy, progressing from the Under-16s and Under-18s before earning his opportunity with the first team.
He made 15 appearances for Billericay before heading out on loan to Brightlingsea Regent, where he linked up with Munyard for the first time.
Munyard subsequently brought Robinson to Brightlingsea on a permanent deal, and at just 18 years of age, Jayden became Regent’s leading appearance maker as they finished in the play-off places.
The midfielder then reunited with Munyard at Aveley last season, making 39 appearances and scoring five goals as the Millers finished second in the Isthmian Premier Division.
Now, Robinson will once again work under Munyard as he makes the move to Brentwood Town.
Speaking after completing his move, Jayden said:
“When I first spoke with Brett about joining and the ambitions of the club it wasn’t really a hard decision for me.
“I’ve met a few of the boys already and buzzing to finally be part of it and looking forward to getting going.”
Both Saunders and Robinson are now part of Munyard’s Brentwood Town squad, and are available for selection ahead of tonight’s Isthmian League fixture away to AFC Whyteleafe.
