Under his captaincy, Brentwood reached two play-off finals, showcasing his influence in leading the squad during crucial campaigns. He also guided the team on a memorable run to the Third Round of the F.A. Trophy, the furthest stage the club has ever achieved in the competition. Most recently, Matt added another proud moment to his Brentwood career by steering the side to the Isthmian North League title in the 2024/25 season. His consistency, leadership, and loyalty continue to make him a true captain and a fans’ favourite.
