Management Biography

Keith Rowland took over as manager of Brentwood Town in October 2023, bringing with him a wealth of experience both as a player and as a coach. Born in Portadown, Northern Ireland, on 1 September 1971, Keith made his name as a defender, most notably at West Ham United where he spent five years in the Premier League. He also played in the Football League for clubs such as AFC Bournemouth, Queens Park Rangers, Luton Town, Chesterfield, and Barnet. Wikipedia+1 Internationally, Rowland was capped 19 times for Northern Ireland, scoring once.

After hanging up his boots, Rowland moved into management. Before joining Brentwood, he managed Wingate & Finchley, Aveley, and Tilbury, and held coaching roles (including at Braintree Town) where he sharpened his tactical eye. Since arriving at Brentwood, he has guided the team with ambition and clarity, building on recent successes including the 2024/25 Isthmian North League title. He is known for his leadership, experience at higher levels of the game, and ability to get the best out of his players.
