Alex Akrofi returned to Brentwood Town in February 2025, this time in a coaching capacity, taking up the role of First Team Attacking Coach. A player well known and fondly remembered by Blues supporters, Alex made history in 2015 when he scored a hat-trick in the Isthmian League Division One North Play-Off Final, securing Brentwood’s first-ever promotion to the Isthmian Premier League. That unforgettable performance cemented his place in club folklore and earned him a lasting bond with the fans.
As a coach, Alex brings a wealth of non-league experience and a detailed understanding of forward play. His focus is on developing Brentwood’s attacking options, working closely with the strikers and wingers to improve movement, finishing, and creativity in the final third. With his background as a prolific forward himself, he offers invaluable insight into the demands of scoring goals and breaking down defences.
Alex’s return has been warmly welcomed, and his influence on the training ground is helping to inspire the next generation of Brentwood attackers.
