AFC SUDBURY 5 – 0 BRENTWOOD TOWN

Brentwood suffered their heaviest defeat of the season as promotion chasing Sudbury cruised to a comfortable win to cement their second place in the Isthmian North table which means home advantage in the play-offs.

Blues enjoyed some early possession and put some pressure on the Suds defence but Harrison Chatting put the home side ahead in the twelfth minute with a finish at the near post from Sakariya Hassan’s cross. It was 2-0 in the 26th minute when Josh Stokes put Hassan through to score.

Brentwood worked hard to get back in the game in the second half but the league’s leading scorer Nnamdi Nwachuku hit his 42nd goal of the season in the 66th minute and Hassan made it 4-0 four minutes later with Stokes completing the scoring in the 79th minute.
