George Craddock’s fine finish four minutes before half time proved decisive and was the highlight of this match at Coggeshall.

The only other shot on target in the first half came from the home side’s Nathan Fuma but it did not seriously trouble Blues goalkeeper Louis Chadwick.

Chadwick was tested again halfway through the second half when he did well to turn a shot from Coggeshall substitute Toby Adekunle onto the post.

Matt Price had a good chance to make it 2-0 in the 89th minute when he got clear of the home defence but could not beat keeper Akan George.

Brentwood Town: 1 Louis Chadwick, 5 Jack Humphrey, 6 Matt Cripps, 3 Kane Phillip (Ben Wyss 62'), 7 Charlie Kendall (Jack Dickinson 75'), 8 George Craddock, 2 Anthony Furlonge, 9 Andrew Freeman, 11 Correy Davidson (Chris Gregan 90'), 15 Sam Park, 17 Matt Price.
