Brentwood Town are delighted to announce the arrival of Charlie Edwards from Cray Wanderers.
The midfielder spent two seasons at Canvey Island and provided eight goals in 64 appearances for the club, including a double in their 4-0 victory over Herne Bay. He also featured in the squad that reached the Premier Division Play-off Semi Final against Aveley during the 2022/23 season.
Some of his other clubs include Hertford Town, Waltham Abbey and fellow Isthmian Premier outfits Wingate and Finchley, and Potters Bar Town respectively.
Most recently, Charlie made 31 appearances for the Wands last season and netted three goals. This includes his debut goal against Cheshunt in the Isthmian Premier Division, which ended the club’s nine game run without a victory, as well as two inside 12 minutes against Hashtag United.
When asked on his arrival to The Blues Charlie said: “I was speaking with Ade Cole over the summer (as we’ve played against each other a fair few times throughout our careers) and he spoke so highly of the club.
“After speaking further with Keith and Scouse, I was convinced that Brentwood is a club going in the right direction and wanting to play football the right way, so am excited to get going.”
Brentwood Town extend their welcome to Charlie and look forward to his appearances during the 2025/26 season.
