Brentwood Town are excited to announce the signing of midfielder Louie Johnson from Isthmian North outfit Walthamstow.
Louie began his senior career at Enfield FC and scored the first goal of three in the E’s 3-2 victory against Cockfosters in the Errington Cup final. The following season, he was awarded the club’s top goal scorer, having produced an impressive 23 goals and 12 assists, contributing to Enfield being crowned as champions of Essex Senior League duringthe 2022/23 season.
A move over to Redbridge and a debut hat-trick came in 2023 as The Motormen advanced over Southend in the Third Round of the Essex Senior Cup, before lifting the trophy for the first time in the club’s history.
Some of Louie’s other clubs include Bishop’s Stortford and Bedford Town FC, where he made his debut in their FA Trophy victory over Bowers and Pitsea.
Most recently Louie signed for Walthamstow and became their top goal scorer during the 2023/24 season. He converted 18 goals and provided 10 assists, whilst bagging at least one goal across four consecutive fixtures between February and March. This includes his hat-trick in the Stows’ 5-3 league victory over Felixstowe and Walton United at Wadham Lodge.
An accolade of awards followed with Louie receiving the Managers, Players, Supporters and Young Player awards respectively.
When asked on signing for The Blues, Louie said, “The club has great facilities and is a big club with positive ambitions going forward (into the Isthmian Premier Division).
“My biggest playing strengths as a midfielder is my goal scoring ability and technical ability. The fans can expect someone who works hard, can entertain on the field and score goals for the team.”
Brentwood Town look forward to welcoming Louie to The Blues for the 2025/26 season.
