BRENTWOOD TOWN 3 – 1 MALDON & TIPTREE
Matt Price came off the bench at the start of the second half and turned this game around for Brentwood after Maldon had looked to be heading for their first points of the season.
The visitors led from the fourteenth minute when Harvey Sayer set up Brad Ihionvien who slammed home from close range.
Maldon had the chance to go further ahead in the 59th minute when Matt Cripps was penalised for a handball, but Ihionvien’s spot kick hit the inside of the post and went across goal to safety. Price then struck twice in the 67th and 73rd minutes to put the Blues ahead before Tom Richardson scored from the penalty spot in the 86th minute after he had been fouled by Lesley Duru.
