Brentwood Town are delighted to announce the signing of experienced midfielder Charlee Adams, who joins the Blues ahead of the 2026/27 Isthmian League Premier Division campaign.
The 31-year-old central midfielder has already featured in 3 of of our opening pre-season fixtures this summer, impressing supporters with his composure on the ball, leadership and wealth of experience in the middle of the park.
Standing at 6ft tall, Adams arrives at The Arena boasting an outstanding footballing CV, having progressed through the academies of both West Ham United and Birmingham City, where he went on to make two senior appearances for the Blues. During his time at St Andrew’s, he also gained valuable experience on loan with Lincoln City and Scottish Premiership side Kilmarnock.
Following his departure from Birmingham, Adams established himself as one of the National League’s most consistent midfielders, enjoying spells with Dagenham & Redbridge, Barnet, before returning to Dagenham for a second stint.
He would then go on to make over 100 appearances for Maidenhead United, cementing his reputation as a dependable and technically gifted midfielder, before later representing Hornchurch. A loan move to Chelmsford City midway through last season was made permanent, with Adams finishing the campaign at Melbourne Stadium.
His performances throughout the years have also earned international recognition, having represented England C, showcasing the very best talent from outside the Football League.
Upon signing for Brentwood, Charlee said:
