BRENTWOOD TOWN 1 -1 NEW SALAMIS

A goal for each team in the first half saw the points shared on Tuesday night at the Brentwood Arena. It was Brentwood’s third draw in the three consecutive home matches.

The home team dominated the early stages of the first half, and it was no surprise when they took a twelfth minute lead. George Craddock’s free kick was headed against the crossbar by Matt Cripps who was then first to the ball to convert from close range.

In their first season in Isthmian North, New Salamis have established themselves in the top half of the league and have been a difficult team to beat. They got back in the match and equalised though Derek Asamoah.

New signing Rob Clark, from Grays Athletic, came off the bench midway through the second half but there were no more goals and it was a fair result in the end, but Blues needed a goal line clearance from Cripps in the 89th minute to ensure they kept their point.

Brentwood Town: 1 Melvin Minter, 2 James Folkes, 3 Andrew Freeman, 4 George Craddock (Sam Park 87'), 5 Matt Cripps, 6 Jack Humphrey, 7 Jack Adlington, 8 Connor Hogan, 9 Ross Wall, 10 Jack Dickinson (Rob Clark 68'), 11 Solomon Ogunwomoju (Bryan Ifeanyi 87').
