Brentwood Town concluded their pre-season campaign with a 2-0 victory over Tilbury at the Arena.
The hosts began on the front foot as a curling delivery by Max Hudson down the left flank was met by Charlee Hughes inside the box, before his effort was cleared.
Louie Johnson capitalised from the dispossession of the Tilbury defence and was fouled on the edge of the area. Hudson stepped up but his low range shot was denied by Harry Fairs.
The Blues came close to taking the lead inside the opening 20 minutes when a powerful cross by Kymani Thomas found Charlie Edwards and his striking effort forced a tip over the bar by Fairs to keep both sides level.
Eventually The Blues were ahead as the well-worked delivery of Hudson was deflected into the net by Connor Martin before half time.
After the break Johnson nearly doubled The Blues’ lead but his effort encountered a goal line clearance.
Jesse Olukolu added the second in the closing stages as he turned out his defender before cutting inside and produced a low-range shot which found the net.
Brentwood Town begin their Isthmian Premier campaign with a local Essex derby away to Aveley on Friday 8th August 2025 at 7:45PM.
