GRAYS ATHLETIC 0 - 2 BRENTWOOD TOWN

Two first half goals saw Brentwood consolidate their play-off position with a vital win over fifth-placed Grays. Tom Richardson claimed two more goals meaning Brentwood could confirm a play-off place with a win over Romford on Easter Monday.

The visitors took a 21st minute lead when George Craddock’s free kick was mishandled by Grays’ goalkeeper Danny Sambridge and Richardson got the final touch. Craddock was involved again in the second goal three minutes before half time with a perfectly placed pass over the home defence for Richardson who found the bottom corner.

It was an impressive performance by Brentwood who generally controlled the match and they could have increased their lead in the second half with Ashley Nzala and Richardson booth hitting the crossbar.
