Brentwood made it seven games unbeaten with this win in Suffolk on Tuesday night. The good run of form has seen three wins and four draws with just three goals conceded, and this latest result lifted Blues above Bury in the table and into the top half of the Isthmian North league.

Both teams had chances early in the first half before Solomon Ogunwomoju finished off a fine move to give the visitors the lead in the 24th minute. it was nearly 2-0 four minutes before half time, but Bryan Ifeanyi’s shot from the right was deflected onto the crossbar.

There were fewer chances in the second half, but Brentwood looked comfortable at the back for the most part. They were under pressure as the match went into stoppage time and Bury won a free kick on the edge of the penalty area. The shot was blocked and Flavio Jumo was able to break away on his own, outpaced a defender and coolly rounded the goalkeeper to make it 2-0 in the 96th minute.

Brentwood Town: 1 Melvin Minter, 2 James Folkes (Jack Dickinson 64' (Flavio Jumo 76’)), 3 Andrew Freeman, 15 Rob Clark, 5 Matt Cripps, 6 Jack Humphrey, 7 Solomon Ogunwomoju, 8 Connor Hogan, 9 Ross Wall, 10 George Craddock, 11 Bryan Ifeanyi.
