Brentwood Town are delighted to announce the arrival of Fletcher Hubbard from Enterprise National League side Braintree Town on a one month loan deal.
The 19-year-old attacking midfielder has made eight appearances for The Iron this season after a successful trial in the summer.
Hubbard began his career as a youth prodigy of West Ham United’s academy, where he spent seven years and was a part of their squad that won the National Futsal Championships twice across a three-year period.
In 2021 Fletcher signed a scholarship at Swindon Town. During his time at The Robins, he reached the quarter final of the FA Youth Cup with the Under 18’s squad and opened the scoring in their 5-0 victory over Wimborne Town.
The young talent went on to make four first-team appearances including a league debut against Colchester United at the age of 17, and a Senior EFL Trophy appearance versus Reading.
At the end of the 2023/24 season, he received the Academy’s Goal of the Season award for his curling out-of-the-box strike over Oxford United.
Most recently, Fletcher signed for Brightlingsea Regent and made 52 appearances during the 2025/25 season. He produced 11 assists and 15 goals, including a brace against Tilbury back in March, whilst earning a spot in the Isthmian League North Team of the Year.
When asked on his arrival to The Blues, Fletcher said, “Brentwood are a very exciting team, and I want to help them win as many games as possible (during the loan period).
“My biggest strengths would be my attacking threat and control of the game. The fans can expect goals, assists and creativity”.
Assistant manager Steve Butterworth added, “Delighted to have 'Fletch' over. We liked him a lot for Brightlingsea last season, and he adds something a little different across the midfield area, I’m sure [Fletcher] will fit it really well”.
Brentwood Town look forward to welcoming Fletcher Hubbard to The Blues as we look to continue our strong start to the 2025/26 campaign.
