An early lead accompanied by a double from George Sykes continued the Blues’ impressive form away from home, making it 12 wins from 14 league matches this season.

Brentwood’s second minute opener, delivered by Mekhi McKenzie into the penalty area, was found by Andrew Freeman and broke the deadlock at Coles Park.

The score line doubled just 20 minutes later with an impressive chip over the keeper, from Sykes.

The dominance of the Blues continued to pose a threat to the opposition’s defence, despite a disallowed goal and two callsfor penalties, that were not given by the officials.

Sykes added another goal to Brentwood’s comfortable 2-0 lead after winning the ball from New Salamis’ keeper and effortlessly placing it into the back of the net.

This puts Brentwood fourth in the league with 50 points, just three points behind third place Bury Town.

The Blues are back in action this Tuesday where they welcome Stowmarket Town to The Arena.
