Nzengo's late goal wins it for Blues

After trailing twice in the match, a spectacular goal six minutes from time by full back Jon Nzengo earned Blues three points from their visit to Great Yarmouth on Saturday.

Joe Jefford put the Greens ahead in the 12th minute following a free kick from the left wing and Brentwood goalkeeper Melvin Minter made a good save from the lively Ismael Fatadjo in the 23rd minute. in the 38th minute George Sykes created a chance for Mekhi McKenzie who was denied by home keeper Jake Jessup, but Blues were level soon afterwards, McKenzie forcing the ball home from close range following a corner kick.

Ryan Curtis put Gorleston ahead again in the 53rd minute but the lead lasted only four minutes. Nzengo made a surging run half the length of the pitch before e was brought down inside the penalty area and Shad Ngandu converted the spot kick.

Nzengo then won Blues the points with a fine shot from outside the area in the 84th minute, a win that keeps Brentwood in the play-off places.
