Brentwood Town are delighted to announce the signing of Manny Ogunrinde following his departure from fellow Isthmian Premier outfit Aveley.
Manny began his senior career on a two-year deal with Salford City at the age of 16 after becoming inducted into the first cohort of Academy 92. He later entered the academy system of Grays Athletic, before signing on at the club during the 2019/20 season and found the net 12 times in all competitions.
A move to Aveley followed, where he played 130 games over his five-year course at the club. He contributed nine goals and eight assists as The Millars secured promotion from the Isthmian North Division, before achieving a consecutive promotion with their 1-0 victory over Hornchurch in the 2022/23 play-off final.
Manny was awarded the Young Player of the season award during the club’s debut season in the National League South in 2023, as well as winning the Velocity Cup during his career.
When asked on signing for The Blues, Manny said, “I was really convinced on the project by Keith and the management team. I came close to joining two years ago but now feels like the right time to be here.
“The club don’t want to just stay in step 3. They are ambitious which I really like and hopefully I can help this great club have more success. My biggest strengths are my pace, directness to get away from defenders and instinct to get goals. I can’t wait to meet the fans and hopefully put smiles on their faces with my performances.”
Brentwood Town look forward to welcoming Manny to The Arena at the start of the 2025/26 campaign.
