Brentwood trailed to a penalty kick early in the second half but hit back with three goals in seventeen minutes to earn a convincing win over ten-man Hashtag. Daniel Ogunleye scored twice, in the 65th and 74th minutes, and skipper Tom Richardson sealed the points from the penalty spot in the 82nd minute.

Hashtag had been reduced to ten men five minutes before half time when Ross Gleed was red-carded after a challenge on Ogunleye. It had been an even game in the early stages with Tom Richardson twice going close for Brentwood while at the other end Ollie Bowles made a fine save from a shot from Hashtag’s Lee Hursit.

Hashtag went ahead through a penalty kick by Jesse Waller-Lassen in the 62nd minute after Matt Cripps had penalised for handball.

But the lead was short-lived as three minutes later Ogunleye wriggled past two defenders in the penalty box before slotting past ex-Brentwood keeper Anthony Page and found the far corner to make it 1-1.

Ogunleye created a chance for Richardson, but he was denied by the crossbar before Ogunleye scored his second goal when he converted a Rob Harvey cross.

Brentwood substitute Joe Bedford also hit the bar with a long-range effort before Ogunleye was fouled in the penalty area by Steve Sheehan enabling Richardson to complete the scoring from the spot.
