“After 3 years at Brentwood Town FC regrettably both Keith Rowland and Steve Butterworth (Scouse), Keith’s assistant, have parted company with the Club after discussions last night. It’s important to look back at the 3 years and genuinely celebrate the achievements and where they have taken the Club from and to in effect 3 years of continual success. A Play-off final in the first year, followed by a title winning season in year 2 followed last year with a Play-off final in our first year back in the Isthmian Premier. Not to forget a fantastic Cup run in the FA Trophy, beating Hereford United away followed by a 5-3 Thriller against Southend United at the Brentwood Arena. They should be extremely proud of their achievements and as Chairman, they have been a pleasure to work with, and I thank them for everything they have done at the Club.
But as Club and Chairman we now need to press the reset button and recruit a new successor. We will act swiftly as its important to Fans, players, and the Club not to feel sorry for ourselves but to get cracking by getting back to winning ways asap. Its ben an extremely tough start but we have played just 7 league games and have 35 left plus we are still in all cup competitions.
Football and indeed life throws you curve balls but it’s how you deal with them that truly defines you. The vision, journey, and success of Brentwood Town FC stays the same. My ambition, drive and focus will continue and in effect I will become even more determined. I obviously will need to find a new Manager and Assistant who shares this ambition and vision.”
We will be making a swift decision as said earlier so anybody that feels they are suitable for the Brentwood Town FC job please contact: [email protected]
