JAMIE BENNETT JOINS THE BLUES

Brentwood Town Football Club are delighted to announce the signing of forward Jamie Bennett, who joins the Blues from National League South side Braintree Town.

The 21-year-old becomes the latest addition to Keith Rowland’s squad, arriving at The Arena after a spell with Braintree, where he made eight appearances following his move to Cressing Road in the summer.

Bennett came through the Ipswich Town Academy, and went on to feature for Stowmarket Town, AFC Sudbury and Haringey Borough, before making the move to Stanway Rovers, where he played a key role in the club’s remarkable rise through the divisions.

During his time with Stanway, Jamie was part of the squads that secured back-to-back promotions, taking the club from the Essex Senior League all the way to the Isthmian League Premier Division.

His arrival at The Arena also reunites him with former Stanway teammate Nat Mardell, with the pair having been instrumental in Stanway’s success last season. Between them, Bennett and Mardell scored an impressive 39 goals during the 2025/26 campaign.

Jamie is a player the Blues have had their eye on for some time, and we are delighted to have secured his services as we continue to strengthen the squad.

And there could be a particularly fitting opportunity for Bennett to make his Brentwood debut, as the Blues host Stanway Rovers at The Arena on Tuesday night, with Jamie now potentially set to line up against his former club.

Welcome to Brentwood Town, Jamie!
