Charlee Hughes Departs Brentwood Town

Brentwood Town Football Club can confirm that striker Charlee Hughes has departed the club.

Charlee re-joined the Blues for a second spell ahead of the 2025/26 campaign, having previously enjoyed a successful stint in Sky Blue during the 2018/19 season, where he scored an impressive 20 goals in just 33 appearances.

Last season, Charlee made 49 appearances across all competitions, finding the net 10 times. His goals included a memorable strike on the opening day of the season away at Aveley – Brentwood’s first goal of the 2025/26 campaign – before he also scored our final goal of the regular season in the home draw over Chichester City.

Across his two spells at the club, Charlee leaves with an impressive record of 82 appearances and 30 goals in Sky Blue.

Although Charlee had initially agreed terms to remain at The Arena for the upcoming campaign, it has since been mutually agreed that both parties will go in different directions as preparations continue for another demanding season in the Isthmian League Premier Division.

Everyone at Brentwood Town would like to place on record our sincere thanks to Charlee for his commitment, professionalism and contributions during his time at the club.

Charlee will always be fondly remembered for the important role he played in helping the Blues reach the Isthmian League Premier Division Play-Off Final in our first season back at Step 3, as the club exceeded expectations throughout a memorable campaign.

We thank Charlee for everything he has given to Brentwood Town and wish him every success for the future.
