Brentwood Town are delighted to confirm the arrival of midfielder Ben Steward following his departure from Billericay Town.
The 23-year-old joins the Blues with valuable experience across the non-league pyramid and adds further quality, strength and versatility to our defensive options ahead of the 2025/26 campaign.
Primarily a defensive midfielder, Steward is also comfortable operating anywhere across the back four. He began his senior career with Bowers & Pitsea and has since featured for Aveley, East Thurrock United and Concord Rangers before making the move to Billericay Town in 2024.
During his two seasons with Billericay, Steward made 64 appearances and scored three goals. Last season, he spent the second half of the campaign on loan at Canvey Island, where he made 13 appearances, scoring twice.
A highly-rated defender, Steward arrives at the Brentwood Centre Arena having built a reputation for his consistency, work ethic and ability to contribute at both ends of the pitch.
After becoming a Sky Blue, Steward said:
“’I’m buzzing to be on board. It’s a great club with great ambition, and I’m excited to be involved in what should be a really good season – with the main goal being getting promoted.’
Everyone at Brentwood Town would like to welcome Ben to the club and we look forward to seeing him in a Blues shirt this season.
