The Blues will be looking to bounce back from their loss away at Ramsgate, as they host Whitehawk at the Arena in another must-win clash.
Brentwood are still third in the table, but with teams closing in behind them, they cannot afford to drop points.
The Blues
Brentwood had won the last two matches before last weekend, but were defeated 3-0 away in Kent, at the hands of Ramsgate.
Alfie Paxman scored a penalty just before the half time break, and two minutes after the teams came back out, the lead was doubled, Solomon Ogunwomoju the scorer. Mitchell May added the final goal in the 93rd minute, to put the result beyond doubt.
The Blues have a seven point gap to Cray Wanderers who sit just outside the playoff spots, so they have a good buffer at this point in the season. A win here could be crucial though, to bolster their promotion hopes.
The Hawks
Whitehawk sit 10th in the table, and are currently 5th in the form table, unbeaten in the last seven matches. With this current form they may look to make a late playoff push, having beaten Burgess Hill Town last time out.
The Hawks ran out 3-1 winners in that game, Joel Daly, Charlie Lambert and Nathan Cooper scoring the goals. Kaan Bennett did put the visitors a goal up just seven minutes into the game, however, they were not able to hold on.
One to watch in this match is Charlie Lambert who has scored 14 goals this season, and has now scored in two consecutive games. Similarly, Cooper, who scored last time out, has two in two and will look to extend that run to three.
Final Word
This should be a fantastic clash between two teams that have everything to fight for at the top end of the table. Whitehawk will look to continue this incredible run, whilst the Blues will want to steady their play-off position.
