Brentwood Town are delighted to announce the arrival of defender Tommy Davis from Essex neighbours Billericay Town ahead of the 2026/27 campaign.
The 23-year-old centre-back arrives at the Brentwood Centre Arena with an impressive pedigree and valuable experience gained at higher levels of the non-league pyramid.
Standing at 6ft 4in, Davis began his career with Southend United, progressing through the club’s academy and signing a professional contract, before gaining senior experience during loan spells with Welling United and Hampton & Richmond Borough.
Following his departure from Southend, Davis joined Aveley in 2023 before making the switch to Billericay Town a year later, where he reunited with manager Gary McCann, having previously worked under him during his spell at Hampton & Richmond.
Since joining Billericay, Davis has established himself as a consistent presence in defence, making 69 appearances across the last two seasons. He featured 39 times and scored three goals during the 2024/25 campaign before adding a further 30 appearances and one goal last season.
His arrival comes on the back of a successful season helping Billericay secure promotion to Step 2, while bringing with him significant National League South experience despite still being only 23 years of age.
Davis becomes the latest addition to the Brentwood squad as preparations continue for a successive season in the Isthmian League Premier Division.
Strong in the air, composed in possession and possessing an imposing physical presence, the defender adds further quality and depth to the Blues backline as the squad continues to take shape ahead of the new season.
Upon joining Brentwood, Davis said:
“I’m really excited for what this season holds after meeting with the management team. I’ve always looked out for the Brentwood results as I’m a local boy and become very familiar with the club over the last season especially. The club had a really successful season, but for me there is only one target in mind and that is to go one better this year.”
Everyone at Brentwood Town FC would like to welcome Tommy to the club and wish him every success in a Blues shirt.
