Blues Add Firepower with the Signing of Malachi Linton

Brentwood Town Football Club are delighted to announce the signing of forward Malachi Linton from National League South side AFC Totton.

The 25-year-old arrives at the Brentwood Centre Arena with an impressive footballing pedigree and experience gained across the National League system, adding further quality and attacking depth to the Blues squad ahead of the new season.

A powerful and athletic forward standing at 6ft tall, Linton is capable of playing through the middle or out wide, bringing pace, strength and versatility to Brentwood’s attacking options.

Born in Ipswich, Linton began his football journey in the youth ranks at Ipswich Town before continuing his development with Crewe Alexandra after leaving Portman Road at the age of 16. A prolific spell with Lowestoft Town saw him score 13 goals in just 10 appearances, earning a move into the Football League with Wycombe Wanderers in 2020.

During his time at Adams Park, Linton gained valuable experience through loan spells with Slough Town and King’s Lynn Town, where he impressed in the National League with a series of strong performances and goals against senior opposition.

A permanent move to Yeovil Town followed in 2022, before further spells at Taunton Town and Weymouth. After making a strong impact during a loan spell with the Dorset club, he secured a permanent move and went on to become an important figure in their frontline.

Linton joined AFC Totton ahead of the 2025/26 campaign, helping the Stags during their first season at National League South level, and now makes the move to Essex as Brentwood continue to strengthen ahead of the 2026/27 season.

After signing for the Blues, Linton said:

“This move felt natural from the first conversation. I am here to work hard, improve and help the club achieve its goals.”

Everyone at Brentwood Town would like to welcome Malachi to the club and we wish him every success in a Blues shirt.
