Brentwood Town travel to North London as they look to continue their play-off push.
They come up against a Wingate & Finchley side that have won two of their last three matches. The reverse fixture ended in a 5-0 loss at the Arena, so Keith Rowland’s side will be hungry for revenge.
Brentwood
The Blues come into this game off the back of a fantastic result against Whitehawk, a 4-0 win in front of a home crowd.
Danny Ogunleye opened the scoring just five minutes in, and Kymani Thomas doubled the lead from the spot nine minutes later. Ogunleye bagged his second of the match ten minutes after the half-time break, before Bradley Sach scored on his debut towards the end of the game.
Brentwood are still third in the league, with teams around them dropping points, helping cement that position. They have a five point gap to fourth placed Chatham Town, who still have one game in hand, so Brentwood will look to hold that gap with a win this weekend.
Wingate
Wingate sit five points clear of the relegation zone, 16th in the league, after a very tricky start to the season. Having won two of the last three, they are starting to push further towards the middle of the table, but need to keep that form should they wish to remain safe.
Their last match was a 2-0 win against Canvey Island, in which Gianluca Botti scored a brace. The first came from a penalty in the 30th minute, before the result was sealed in the 97th minute.
One to watch is the bagsman last time out, Botti, who has scored 16 goals for his side this season. Four of these goals have come in the last four matches, and he has largely helped Wingate in their latest two victories.
Final Word
With only ten games to go, it is crunch time for both teams, and a win is absolutely crucial. Keith Rowland’s side will want to keep their distance to the chasing pack, but Wingate & Finchley, will want to make it back to back wins for the first time since November.
