Blues Strengthen Midfield With Mikey Berry

Brentwood Town are delighted to announce the arrival of midfielder Mikey Berry following his departure from Folkestone Invicta.

The 20-year-old attacking midfielder joins the Blues after helping Folkestone secure the Isthmian League Premier Division title last season, making 37 appearances and scoring three goals during a successful campaign.

A technically gifted, right-footed central midfielder, Berry arrives with an impressive footballing pedigree. Having begun his development within Arsenal’s academy system, he joined Charlton Athletic at the age of 14 and progressed through the club’s youth ranks before featuring for the Addicks’ Under-18 side.

Following his departure from Charlton in 2024, Berry gained valuable senior experience with spells at Ashford United and Tonbridge Angels before making his mark at Folkestone Invicta, where he played an important role in the club’s title-winning season.

Despite his young age, Berry already possesses experience across a number of levels of the non-league game and is regarded as a player with significant potential for further development.

After agreeing to join the Blues, Berry said:

“[I’m] buzzing to be here at an ambitious club, which was clear in the season they had last year when I played against them. Their hunger to attack really suited me as a player so I knew I could fit right in. [I’m] really happy to be here and hopefully start enjoying my football again, in what can be a very successful season.”

Everyone at Brentwood Town would like to welcome Mikey to the Brentwood Centre Arena and wish him every success in a Blues shirt.
