Brentwood returned to winning ways on Easter Monday with a 2-0 victory over Welling United, bouncing back from a tough defeat away at Burgess Hill Town.
Charlie Edwards opened the scoring with just under half an hour played, before Kymani Thomas added a second 57 minutes in to secure a huge three points at the Arena.
That result sees Keith Rowland’s side climb back up to 4th in the table, one point ahead of Chatham Town and three clear of Dartford. With just three games remaining, the Blues need seven points to guarantee a play-off finish.
The Robins
Carshalton currently sit 17th in the league on 40 points, just two above the relegation zone.
They suffered a 2-1 defeat away at Dulwich Hamlet last time out, ending a five-game unbeaten run. After falling two goals behind, Nathan Young-Coombes pulled one back, but it wasn’t enough to salvage a result.
Young-Coombes is one to watch, having scored four goals in six appearances and finding form at a crucial stage in the season.
